Version 1 of Windows Workflow Foundatoin was released in 2006 as part of the .NET framework 3.0. Like many v1 products, its adoption has not yet reached the mainstream of application developers. Microsoft intends to change this with the new release of the .NET framework 4.0. We will take a look at what is currently available in the current WF release, examine the benfits of using WF over traditional imperative programming, and look forward to changes and features available in the next version.
