WS-*, WCF and You
WS-*, WCF and You
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
When: Thursday, August 7th, 2008, 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Where: Microsoft Office - Columbus (Address Below)
The promise of SOA is built on the back of web services. Due to their nature however, web services are not always “business-friendly.” The WS-* specifications provide the extensions that make SOA a viable business platform. But what are these specifications? Where did they come from? Do I really need ALL of them? And how can I leverage this functionality in WCF? This presentation will let you know what the WS-* specifications are and where they came from. It will also introduce you to the various standards bodies (and vendors) who shape service interoperability. It will also demonstrate that the WS-* specifications are easier to implement in WCF than you think.
